# API changelog

New endpoints and fields can arrive at any time. Anything that would break working code is announced here at least 90 days before it happens.

## Our promise

This is version 1 of the API. We add endpoints, fields and values without notice, so write code that ignores fields it does not know. We do not remove or rename anything, or change what it means, without announcing it here first, at least 90 days ahead.

The API is documented, at /docs/panel, with an OpenAPI description at /docs/panel/openapi.json.

API keys gained account scopes, expiry dates and editing, and new keys start with `sdevc_`. Existing keys keep working. Ordering and refunds now need the `billing.purchase` scope, which existing keys do not have until their owner turns it on.

Ordering accepts an `Idempotency-Key` header, and each key may start a limited number of orders a day.

Servers can have a public status badge for a README. `GET`, `PUT` and `DELETE /servers/{server}/settings/badge` and `POST /servers/{server}/settings/badge/regenerate` read it, turn it on, turn it off and give it a new address.
